• Tara has been telling me it was hard to use and that it needed a complete overhaul since I wrote it.
• Dave told me today it was hard to use but maybe just needed some help text.
• About half of the users so far have experienced enough difficulty with the category selector that they ended up placing their listings in the root categories.

In the future it will be possible to add a listing to more than one category (there will be four digits worth of them), but right now there are only enough categories to justify one per listing. Planning ahead is where the unnecessary complexity came from in the first place. It's also the only reason I used AJAX at all.

I put a few hours into it and it's much better now. It still has the functionality of the original but things are rearranged to make more sense. There's also some help text to eliminate guessing.
